Benefiting the Pittsburgh JCC - Women's Tank

The graphic for the event was donated by Jon Brentzel, a Pittsburgh based graphic designer. When deciding what to include in the design, Jon said he chose the hamsa hand, a symbol that is "as ubiquitous as the Star of David" in the Jewish faith. In Judaism, the hamsa — classically depicted as an eye embedded in the palm of an open hand — is representative of protection, a literal hand that is seen as covering a person or place from evil. This image of the open hamsa hand with Pittsburgh's skyline and its bridges (known as the Three Sisters), as well as the Star of David is Jon's artistic expression of an open hand, heart, and city in our neighbors' time of need. Please check out Jon's work and thank him if you have a moment (find him on social media here). We are forever grateful to his talented artistic expression and quick volunteering of his time to create this beautiful image.
100% of the proceeds from 5K entries and t-shirt/tank sales (minus the $3.50 shipping per t-shirt/tank) will be donated to Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh.
The tank is the Bella + Canvas Ladies' Triblend Racerback Tank in Navy Triblend.
